The American Gaming Association (AGA) has proposed new policy guidelines for gambling payments.

It has been reported that the proposition looks to let visitors fund their activities at gambling establishments through digital avenues instead of allowing only physical fiat currency.

However, it remains unclear whether the AGA includes cryptocurrencies under its digital payments reference.

The report said:

“The principles come at a time when the majority (57%) of past-year casino visitors report the option for digital or contactless payments on the casino floor is important to them because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Likewise, the future of physical cash usage remains unclear going forward in light of recent events.

Thus, the statement said:

“Recent AGA research found that 59% of past-year casino visitors are less likely to use cash in their everyday lives because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
