Bengaluru, India –9th September​: Binance Charity​, the world’s first blockchain-powered donation platform, ​worked with Vaibhav Chabbra of Mumbai’s Makers Asylum, a collaborative makerspace, to distribute over 43,000 face shields to front line healthcare professionals, policemen and railway workers across 30+ hospitals, police stations and NGOs in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Goa.

“Front-line workers are risking their own lives while they save ours. In the past three months, the ​Crypto Against COVID campaign has delivered over 2 million units of personal protective equipment to such heroes in over 20 countries globally, via Binance Charity’s transparent, blockchain-enabled platform. It’s important we support healthcare workers, along with policemen and other professionals who work day and night to protect us!”

From June to August 2020, Binance Charity donated 33,500 USD (25 lakhs INR) to supply 10,000 N95 masks to Safdarjung Hospital & V.M.M.C. and 35,500 USD (26 lakhs INR) to produce and distribute face shields all over India. Totaling to 53,000+ protective equipment distributed in India under the pandemic relief efforts in the past 3 months.

“The healthcare community in India is fighting a tough battle against COVID-19. We are aware that it will take awhile for things to get back in shape but all our doctors and nurses are giving more than 100% to keep doing what they need to. In times like these it is encouraging to have some help and we are very thankful to Binance Charity Foundation for the same.”

To-date, Binance Charity has donated over $4.3 million USD towards the #CryptoAgainstCOVID campaign to help pandemic-hit countries such as China, Italy, Brazil, Ukraine and Japan.


Binance Charity Foundation has donated face shields to these 32 organizations in India:

  • Mumbai: Nair Hospital, Indian Railways, Cooper Hospital, Sion Hospital, MCGM, F​ South Ward, MCGM, ENT Hospital, MCGM, Jumbo COVID Center BKC, JJ Hospital, NSCI Dome COVID Center, Indian Railways (Mumbai).
  • Bengaluru: Apollo Hospital, Baptist Hospital, Karnataka Police (Bengaluru), Omega​ Multispeciality Hospital, Chiguru Multispeciality Hospital, Vydehi Institute, Aster AMI Hospital, People Tree Hospital, Sarojini Health Center, Medicure Hospital, and SAFA Medicure.
  • New Delhi: St Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi Heart & Lung Institute, Holy Family Hospital​ And Max Hospital.
  • Goa: Government of Goa, Directorate of Health Services and PHC Candolim​.
