China is taking a step forward to officially set blockchain jobs as a new occupation to promote employment amidst global COVID-19 pandemic, as the pandemic is transforming blockchain companies, and its impact is not always negative for the blockchain industry.
It has been reported that China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS), the ministry responsible for national labor policies and regulations, has recently added blockchain-related jobs to a list of officially recognized jobs.
However, MOHRSS stated that blockchain-focused professions, like tech developers, engineers, and analysts, are among 10 newly recognized jobs, as these come alongside 3D printing operators and nucleic acid examiners.
MOHRSS elaborated that the scope of a blockchain-related job includes a number of activities which include blockchain architecture design, underlying technology, system application and testing, as well as operation and maintenance.
Also, MOHRSS noted that the formal introduction of the new occupation types is in line with China’s growing demand to promote employment amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
It has been analyzed that the decision to list new types of jobs as officially recognized occupations evidently addresses massive job losses in China after months of lockdown over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, China is also progressing its overall blockchain adoption strategy in line with the order by China’s President Xi Jinping.
Thus, China steadily accelerating the pace of its blockchain adoption.
