Bjork Is The Latest Entrant To Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival 2022

Bjork, the iconic Icelandic singer-songwriter, is the latest entrant to the Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival 2022 happening in November.

It has been reported that Decentraland’s second edition of the music festival just keeps on getting bigger and better. The string of musicians added to the updated lineup also includes Izzy Bizu, BRELAND, and Billy Strings.

However, this will be the first-ever Metaverse performance for Bjork. Her exemplary status, presence, and aesthetics are sure to set a vibrant experience at the Decentraland festival. In addition, to add to the festivities, she will also unveil her latest music video during her set

The report said that the global music video premiere for “Sorrowful Soil” will take place during her time on stage, among other cool surprises.

Sam Hamilton, the Creative Director of the Decentraland Foundation, stated:

“We are honored that Björk has trusted Decentraland as the platform of choice for her metaverse debut. As an international and multi-generational icon, she’s inspired countless humans, and we’re no exception. Her exploration of the relationship between nature, technology, and sound heavily influenced Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival. I cannot wait for everyone to see.”

Likewise, this year, Decentraland’s Metaverse Music Festival is a free-for-all event. You can view the event directly on your computer screen, no VR is required. The festival also features industry-leading artists across genres such as Ozzy Osbourne, Soulja Boi, Dillon Francis, and many others.

Decentraland is a decentralized open metaverse – a 3D virtual reality platform. So, in Decentraland, you can build your virtual avatar to access a social experience that allows you to literally explore the world of web3. It also allows players to buy, build, and sell NFTs, digital artwork, and even (native) real estate.

Thus, in its current state, Decentraland is only available on desktop computers, with future plans of heading into mobile applications.
