CFDA Launches Its First NFT Collection For Fans Of The Fashion Industry

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is launching its first nonfungible token (NFT) collection for fans of the fashion industry.

It has been reported that it will celebrate the classic styles of the past and the coming technology of the future. Furthermore, anyone can partake in “Lighting the Path of American Fashion,” an exclusive NFT collection that will debut on December 12.

However, there will be seven one-of-a-kind NFT pieces available. These will all represent iconic moments of fashion history, with proceeds benefiting the CFDA Foundation. The following designers are all set to appear: Coach, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Tam, Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera, and Willy Chavarria.

The report said that the CFDA has teamed up with some heavy hitters to launch their exclusive NFT collection, celebrating 60 years of success in fashion. They’ve brought on Polygon to support the event and BNV is animating the NFTs with a fashion trading platform that is rich with gated perks.

Likewise, “Fashioning the Shades of American Design,” will simultaneously appear in The Sandbox. This second collection will feature 60 pieces from CFDA’s 60-year history. Further, the collection is curated by Darnell-Jamal Lisby, Assistant Curator of Fashion at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Fashion fans can’t go wrong with this one. These are truly pieces of history, as CFDA enters the metaverse in celebration of its 60th. From December 12-16, the seven one-of-one NFTs will be available on CFDA.bnv.me. The opening bids for the Willy Chavarria and Vivienne Tam NFTs are set at $15,000.

Thus, the other five fashion NFTs have opening bids of $25,000. CFDA is partnering with MoonPay to facilitate the NFT purchases.
