Collection Of Organizations Teams Up To Produce A Map Of Singapore’s Blockchain Landscape

A collection of organizations teamed up to produce a “map” of Singapore’s blockchain landscape, and it’s a lot bigger in 2020 than it would have been in 2019.

It has been reported at the Unitize blockchain conference that the map is supported by a Singaporean governmental agency called the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and is mostly a collection of company logos organized by the specific business sector.

However, the categories here range from corporate services to smart cities to protocol and infrastructure and beyond.

As per the report, a notable addition for 2020 is decentralized finance (DeFi), a sector that seems to be gaining global momentum as Temasek recently became the first Asian entity to partner with the Libra Association.

Global recruiting for jobs requiring blockchain skills is also up.

There are 234 entities represented across 26 categories on the 2020 map in total.

That’s 91 more companies represented now versus last year, indicating growth above 50%.
