FinTech blockchain courses in Singapore introduced
Singapore Polytechnic and Token Economy Association have collaborated together to offer FinTech and blockchain course for developers and working professionals.
Course curriculum will be curated by Token Economy Association (TEA) and designed by Dr. Ernie Teo, who worked previously at IBM as a blockchain research scientist.
FinTech Blockchain beginner course was introduced in February this year. FinTech Blockchain (Intermediate course) succeeds the beginner course.
FinTech stands for financial technologies and simply means technology applied in the financial services sector.
Chia Hock Lai, chairman for TEA states that graduates from the courses would enhance their capabilities in the field of blockchain as developers.
“SP and TEA, along with the Banking and Financial Services Union (BFSU), Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), and Workforce Singapore (WSG) also jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).”
These agencies will collaboratively join together in developing one’s skills and capacities in blockchain programming.
“This collaboration will build a pipeline of local talents looking to enter the emerging areas of FinTech and blockchain as Singapore inches closer to its vision of becoming a regional Fintech hub.”
Chia Hock Lai, Chairman of TEA said that learners who complete both the courses “will be competent enough to join the ranks of blockchain developers”.
