Lamborghini To Certify Heritage Cars Using Salesforce Blockchain

Lamborghini is using Salesforce Blockchain to authenticate heritage Lamborghini cars.

On Nov. 19, Salesforce made the announcement stating that Lamborghini can now trace, certify and authenticate heritage cars faster and more securely using its blockchain platform.

Salesforce is a major global customer relationship management firm. Its Hyperledger-based blockchain platform will now be implemented to create a trusted network between multiple participants for certification checks during a Lamborghini’s resale.

Lamborghinis on Immutable Records

A typical Lamborgini resale involves going through 800-1,000 certification inspections at the Lamborghini headquarters in Italian Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The whole process involves a huge network of resources such as photographers, auction houses, dealerships, repair shops, and media sources. Each of the networks of resources registers the full history and verification of all of the parts and service history of each of the Lamborghini.

Salesforce Blockchain claims that the Lamborghinis will now come with an immutable record of services such as prior ownership and restoration. It can also protect against potential counterfeiting as all authentication checks are managed by Lamborghini and its partner network.

Lamborghini’s use of Salesforce Blockchain follows a recent pilot project involving its first vehicle certified using Salesforce’s blockchain.
