Snoop Dogg Releases His NFT on Crypto.com, Plans to Launch His Own Cryptocurrency

An avid supporter of Dogecoin (DOGE), American rapper Snoop Dogg desires to release his cryptocurrency in the future, when he asked “Is d-o-g-g similar to d-o-g-e?”

On April 2, he happened to share in a Vanity Fair interview that his NFT will be launching on Crypto.com. This particular memorabilia might not be the only contribution by Snoop on the crypto space for his followers. Due to the constant comparisons of his name with Dogecoin, the rapper directed to Nick Bilton being “damn right” in predicting a Snoopcoin or Doggcoin one day.

Earlier in February 7, 2021 with Snoop Dogg’s tweet, the price of Dogecoin rallied by 27%.

Even celebrities like Angela White, a movie star, and Kiss rocker Gene Simmons tweeted on being HODlers, aiding in boosting the price of Dogecoin. Snoop is one of the celebrated individuals in promoting DOGE through memes and statements favouring cryptocurrencies on social media. The mentions have helped the price of the token to reach an all-time high of $0.08 in February, cooling off to $0.06 since then.

Not recommending any of these to anyone. But yes, I also bought Dogecoin, XRP and others. Make of it what you will. — Gene Simmons (@genesimmons) February 1, 2021

The NFT token offered by Snoop Dogg features the “Snoop Dogge coins” instead of a cryptocurrency. The NFTs bear a a dog’s picture, present on one side of the three gold coins with a recording of Snoop saying he is “all about those Snoop Dogge Coins, dog.”

Users have purchased roughly 3,000 editions of the NFT, as reported by Cointelegraph. However, Snoop seems to favour the digital gold, Bitcoin (BTC) as well. He didnt see Bitcoin as a passing fad and was extremely confident on the Bitcoin coming back to it bullish state post pandemic.

I believe in [Bitcoin]. I believe in the technology and I believe in the global connection it creates. I’m not too caught up in the value of the coin, because I’ve been around long enough to see things go up and go down, and I know it’s here to stay.
