VeChain Partners With Shenzhen Yuhongtai Foods Company To Track Pork Products

VeChain, the traceability-focused blockchain project, has announced a partnership with China-based Shenzhen Yuhongtai Foods Company to track pork products, as this will allow Shenzhen to track the products distributed by the retailer’s subsidiary, Meijiada Fresh Foods.

It has been reported that the partnership will see detailed information concerning how pork sold by Meijiada was raised and its route to supermarkets, with fresh meat products sold by the chain mandated to be sold on the same day as harvest.

However, Meijiada will use VeChain’s ToolChain and blockchain to provide detailed data concerning the origin, processing, and logistics information surrounding meat produced by the Chinese retailer.

It has been analyzed that consumers will be able to access the untamperable data by underpinning the supply chain and production of Meijiada’s pork products by scanning a QR code printed on the packaging of the company’s products.

As per the report, Meijiada and Shenzhen Yuhongtai Foods emphasized that more products will be included as part of the companies’ blockchain program in the future.

Thus, competition is heating among firms seeking to position themselves as providing a bridge between large enterprise and blockchain, as enterprise adoption of or DLT grows.
